Boosting Cooperation with ILO

Managing Director Ms. Soha Soliman signed three memoranda of understanding with Director of ILO Cairo Office Mr. Peter Van Rooij to stimulate women entrepreneurship in Egypt.
The first memorandum aims at implementing three programs in Cairo, Menya, Assuit and Sohag to train 45 trainers; 4 others will also be given by the trainers – already accredited by ILO - to target 100 women-owned micro enterprises in Greater Cairo and Alexandria, in addition to 20 women with special needs. According to the second memorandum, three programs will take place in Greater Cairo to build the capacities of 75 women entrepreneurs and 20 others with special needs. In line with the third memorandum, a training program will be launched in Alexandria for 25 women entrepreneurs.
SFD has been accredited as a strategic partner and main franchisor to the ILO "Start and Improve Your Business" Programs (SIYB). Furthermore, 36 trainers have been accredited and will be added to the ILO certified trainers.
